Emergencies are frightening situations. Their unexpected nature makes them difficult to respond to, yet a little education and advanced planning can avert a disaster.
The ten schools we currently support are rural schools. Most of these schools are situated at least sixty kilometers from the nearest town and medical help. These schools are often the helpline for the local community and the learners in any emergency.

With above in mind we decided to act and train educators and senior learners in Level One First Aid, basic health and safety, hygiene and basic firefighting.
Learners encounter emergencies daily, and despite their young age, they can save lives by simple actions.

Training individuals in first aid isn’t just about learning a lifesaving skill. It also boosts self-esteem, encourage teamwork and improve communication skills. The use of manikins in the classroom enables the learners to get „hands on‟ experience in life saving techniques and a good knowledge of the human body.

It also provides an opportunity for learners to engage with voluntary work in their local community.

The opportunity to identify learners with talent for a possible career in Emergency Services.
